The first solution to cut tummy fat and other health hazards is to have a proportionate nutritious diet.

Proper diet assists in retarding the artery-clogging process and when combined with careful lifestyle adjustment, it may even arrest the narrowing of arteries.  A diet plan which can serve you in your agenda to lose your stomach fat and to prevent health hazards is listed below.

By eating more legumes, whole grains, vegetables and fruits, you increase your capacity to fight against the heart disease.  You must choose your foods accordingly.  For that you must keep in mind the following tips.

Marginal intake of fats is the only solution to melt off your abdominal fat.  The intake of saturated fats and trans fatty fats, which are seen in desserts, sweets, butter and salad dressing must be avoided.  The monounsaturated fats seen in olive oil and peanut oil and the polyunsaturated oil seen in soybean, corn and sunflower oil can be used as replacements for your fat foods.

Serve a variety and right amount of protein foods.  Avoid the usual protein foods (meat, dairy products) as theyare among the main causes of heart disease.  Reduce this nutritional risk factor by balancing lean animal, fish and vegetable sources of protein.

The dietary cholesterol in your body can lead to high levels of blood cholesterol.  The foods rich in saturated fats will contain cholesterol also.  So when you avoid foods that cause high cholesterol levels, then you can automatically avoid fats.

For having energy, serve complex carbohydrates (such as whole wheat pasta, sweet potatoes, whole-grain breads) and restrict simple carbohydrates (such as regular soft drinks, sugar, sweets).

To regulate your cholesterol levels, to burn your excess calories and to maintain your blood sugar, you need to have mini-meals frequently for every 2-3 hours, i.e., for 5-6 times a day. You should never try to skip your meals since they lead to overeating.

To control your blood pressure, you need to cut the quantities of salt in your diet.

Encourage workout.  The human body is meant to be active.  Workout strengthens the heart muscle, improves blood flow, reduces high blood pressure, raises HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol), and helps control blood sugars and body weight.

Encourage hydration.  Water is a vital element.  Staying hydrated makes you feel energetic and eat less. Encourage yourself to drink 32 to 64 ounces (about one to two liters) of water everyday (unless he or she is fluid restricted).

To be optimistic in your life, you should have an enjoyable diet plan. Adopt dietary enhancements and not deprivation.

Given below are some of the examples of foods and the portion of them to be consumed.

1 slice of bread, 1 starch food in the size of compact disc case.

1/2 cup cooked vegetables, 1 fruit, cupcake wrapper full or size of ice cream scoop.

1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 fat food.

3 ounces cooked meat, 1 protein food in the size of deck of cards.
