How To Lose Weight And Keep It Off

There are many programs that help you to lose weight, but very few will help you lose weight and keep it off. For this you need a different strategy.You lose weight within a few days of starting many diet programs because the first thing you lose is fluid. The people who promoted the program know this, which is why they guarantee success. But losing fluid does not constitute real weight loss; it is fat you need to lose, not water.
There is only one healthy way to lose that body fat; you need to eat fewer calories than your body burns as fuel. To burn fat, you need to eat less food and move your body more.
Starvation diets aren’t the answer either, because there are certain nutrients that you need to be healthy and maintain a healthy weight. The answer is to eat a balanced, nutritionally-sound diet and enjoy some form of physical activity every day.
Try this plan: eat 5 or 6 smaller meals or snacks a day. This keeps you feeling full, keeps your metabolism moving and prevents much of the deprived feelings associated with losing weight. Make sure you eat a normal amount, not more, in a day; obviously, “main” meals will be smaller than they used to be.
What you eat becomes your weight loss diet. Eat some protein at every meal/snack because protein keeps you feeling fuller for longer. Increase the amount of vegetables and fruit you eat; they have protein, carbohydrate, good fats and all the vitamins and minerals you need to keep your body functioning properly, to help you maintain your healthy weight. Cut out highly processed foods, and eat wholegrain cereals and breads. Include skim dairy varieties and legumes, nuts and seeds in your diet.
The body was made for movement and there is no way to lose weight and keep it off, without it. No need to get all sweaty either, unless you enjoy that sort of thing. Swim, walk the dog, play ball with the kids, belly-dance, garden or any activity that makes you breathe harder is exercise, but do some every day.
